Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how MI Liquor List ("the App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

The App is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal information, and none of it is transmitted to our servers.

a) Locally Stored Data
The App stores the following information locally on your device using platform-provided persistent storage: product codes and user preferences (favorites). This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

b) Camera Access
The App may request access to your device camera solely for the purpose of scanning product barcodes to look up items in the price book. Camera data is processed in real time on your device. No images, video, or barcode data are captured, stored, transmitted, or shared with any third party.

c) Advertising Identifiers
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and use advertising identifiers, device information, and usage data for the purposes of ad personalization, frequency capping, conversion tracking, and fraud prevention. This data is collected and governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.

d) Price Book Updates
The App periodically checks a public data file hosted on GitHub for newer MLCC price book releases and downloads updates when available. These requests transmit no personal information; GitHub may log standard request data (such as IP address) per the GitHub Privacy Statement (https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-privacy-statement).

2. How We Use Information

We do not use, collect, or process any information from the App. All data processing occurs locally on your device, except for the price book update check and advertisements described above, which involve the third-party services named there. The App does not communicate with any servers operated by us.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your information with third parties, except as described below:

4. Data Retention and Security

All user data is retained locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. You may delete this data at any time by clearing the App's data through your device settings or by uninstalling the App. We implement reasonable security measures to protect the App, but we cannot guarantee the security of data stored on your device.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 21. If we become aware that a child under 21 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

7. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through the App Store listing.
